The goal of this project is to provide an easy to print and easy to assemble cheap motorized hand.

The cost is estimated less than $40, depending on where your order parts from, and the weight is less than 300g.

I want to thank Connie Marchek, Bernard Fallourd, Mikael Alhadeff and Thomas Julien for the precious feedback that helped improve these pages!

Leveraging the modern and elegant design of the Kinetic Hand, created and released by Mat Bowtell, it adds servo motors and an esp32 based command board with the following features, some of which are still Work In Progress.

  • each finger can be driven independently of the others
  • current monitoring for each finger allowing some pressure control
  • automatic calibration of each finger course (thanks to current monitoring)
  • blue tooth connectivity, allowing advanced settings through a smart phone application, voice control, etc.

These pages are intended to provide help in building this device. Please get in touch if you are stuck!
