First public release — a Windows desktop MP3 player written in C# (WinForms, .NET Framework 4.7.2) with a ten-band graphic equalizer.

Install

Download MP3Player-Setup.exe below and run it. It's a single self-contained installer — no Inno Setup, no WiX, no .NET SDK needed — carrying the player, its config, and the NAudio and NLayer assemblies.

Runs on Windows with .NET Framework 4.7.2, which is present by default on Windows 10 and 11.

What it does

  • Load a file, several files, or a whole folder tree — Ctrl+O for files, Ctrl+Shift+O for a folder, recursing through every subfolder
  • Save playlists as M3U8, M3U or PLS — Ctrl+S
  • Ten-band graphic equalizer with preamp and 17 presets — Ctrl+E
  • Spectrum analyser drawn from the live signal
  • ID3 tag reading and writing, artwork included
  • Drive-wide search for audio files
  • Listening profile built from what you actually play, not what you say you like

MP3 decoding is fully managed through NLayer, so no system codec needs to be installed.
