The dredging industry has been running on spreadsheets for fifty years. That ends now.
DredgePact tracks every cubic yard of dredged material from cut to placement site, with automatic Corps of Engineers permit cross-checks and sediment contaminant classification built in. It manages multi-party contracts, subcontractor compliance certs, and disposal site capacity in real time so you stop discovering problems after the barge is already loaded. This is the software the waterway maintenance industry should have had in 2005.
- Full chain-of-custody tracking for dredged material across all placement and disposal site types
- Cross-references over 340 contaminant classification thresholds against incoming sediment sample data automatically
- Native integration with USACE ORM2 permit management workflows
- Real-time disposal site capacity monitoring with configurable overage alerts before mobilization
- Multi-party contract management with subcontractor compliance cert expiration tracking built in. Not bolted on.

DredgePact is a microservices system with a FastAPI core, a React frontend, and a MongoDB backend that handles the contract and compliance document model better than any relational alternative I evaluated. Hot operational data lives in Redis long-term so disposal site capacity reads are always sub-50ms regardless of load. Every service publishes to an internal event bus so permit status changes propagate across contracts, subcontractors, and disposal records simultaneously without polling. The whole thing runs on a single well-sized VPS because I actually benchmarked it instead of guessing.
