GlassyardOS is built on a Node.js backend decomposed into focused microservices — intake, inventory, kiln queue, proofing, and billing each run independently and communicate over a lightweight internal message bus. All transactional data lives in MongoDB, chosen for its document model flexibility across wildly different commission structures. Static assets and client proof images are served through a CDN-backed storage layer with signed URLs on every request. The frontend is a React SPA that talks exclusively to a versioned REST API — no exceptions, no shortcuts.
