Feature request: WebP import/export support #168
Description
Compositor doesn't support WebP for import or export. Supported formats today are JPEG, PNG, HEIC, TIFF, SVG, camera RAW, and PSD/PSB (per README) — no WebP.
WebP produces smaller files than PNG/JPEG at similar quality, and many source images already come as WebP.
Requesting:
- WebP import
- WebP export (with a quality/lossless option)
- Alpha transparency preserved

WebP import shipped in 1.4.9 (thanks to #244): WebP files open like any other image. Export is still PNG, JPEG and PDF. If you need WebP export, please open a separate issue for it. Closing this one as done.
