Description
When opening the "New canvas" dialog (via ⌘N or clicking the "+" button), the "Width" text field is not automatically focused, and its existing text is not selected. The user must manually click into the input box to start typing.
In contrast, pressing Tab correctly moves focus to the "Height" field and selects its contents.
Steps to Reproduce
- Launch Compositor.
- Click the
+ button in the toolbar or press ⌘N to open the "New canvas" dialog.
- Attempt to type immediately without clicking.
Expected Behavior
The "Width" field should be automatically focused with its contents (1920 or clipboard width) pre-selected on open, allowing users to immediately type a new value without needing to click with the mouse (consistent with standard macOS and Photoshop dialogs).
Actual Behavior
The input field is not active; user must manually click into the "Width" box before typing.
Environment
- OS: macOS (Apple Silicon)
- Version: Compositor 1.4.5
