One-sentence contribution

Drawing on fieldwork in Kerala, this paper shows that digital literacy programs are conditioned by a pre-existing political-pedagogical infrastructure of libraries and mass organisations that precedes and shapes whatever the literacy intervention can accomplish on its own.
