Bring the README headline current with the latest release. 1.0.1 published before the whats-new workflow landed on main, so it never auto-ran; generated the block with scripts/whats-new.sh (the same path the workflow uses). Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
