test: add Ubuntu 24.04 VPS smoke evidence

Summary

• add sanitized Ubuntu 24.04 VPS smoke-test evidence for minimal and forced docker-host install checks
• sync readiness docs and project status with the recorded evidence
• fix noisy Docker source cleanup ERR trap in the Docker install script

Verification

• clean VPS minimal preflight, baseline, SSH reconnect and ready checks passed on fi-1
• forced docker-host install check passed on fi-1 with Docker 29.6.1 and Compose v5.3.1
• repeated Docker install after cleanup fix passed without the noisy ERR line
• git diff --check
• bash scripts/98-verify-scripts.sh
• docker compose --env-file env.example config
• docker compose --env-file env.example -f docker-compose.yml -f docker-compose.monitoring.yml config
• guards for latest images, removed public override refs and tracked secret-like files

Notes

• fi-1 is below documented docker-host resource requirements, so docker-host evidence is marked as installation-only, not workload-capacity evidence.
• ai-stack remains deferred until a larger VPS/VM is available.
