According to the spec, an
AlgorithmIdenfitiercan also be specified as aDOMString:https://dvcs.w3.org/hg/webcrypto-api/raw-file/tip/spec/Overview.html#dfn-AlgorithmIdentifier
There may be other areas where a similar change could be made.
