widget-launcher

The tool that launches command-line widgets.

Made with Python.

Okay, you've read this bit ↑, that is mostly all, but you would probably say "How would i make my own widgets?" or "What would i do?" well, we have answers. Before doing any of this, you may or may not have installed Python, if you haven't, download it from here. "https://www.python.org/getit/windows/" And how to install the Widget Launcher is simple! There are 2 methods. 1: Access the releases folder and you'll find multiple releases. Download the latest one by clicking on the .zip file. So now just by installing these, you're set! 2: Go to the Releases tab and select the latest release, then press the release you want to download. So by these steps, you're set!

When you double-click the .bat, or .ink (!.ink isn't tested so it may not work!), you'll end up on this screen: Widget To Desktop

  1. ░░░░Start░░░
  2. ░░░░Exit ░░░

Delete Widget (3)

Custom widgets put in the 'custom_widgets' folder will be automatically be added to the widgets folder. Select your option. It will show you a list, like this:

1 clock.bat

2 ...

3 ...

ect.

Select:

When you select, it'll open that widget. Now, lets go to 2. There isn't really anything to explain here... it just exits.

Finally, lets go to 3. When you get into the menu, it will delete folders/files in the widgets folder that you specified. If the file/folder doesn't exist, it will give you an error and restart the program. That is it - Wait! I didn't cover how you make the widgets, so, you get a file, (.cmd is recommended) write code in it, then put it in the custom_widgets folder, now, of course, if you don't know how to code .cmd or other files, then you can learn from somewhere, I guess. That's it!
