The whole purpose of the Kryptos project is to provide a command line utility to perform simple pen and paper type ciphers for encrypting files and entered strings. It is strongly stressed that this is not to be used for storing sensitive data or other confidential information. The Kryptos project simply implements classical ciphers, revamped classical ciphers and home grown cryptography for educational purposes. Any use of this project to store sensitive data is taken at your own risk.
