The extconf.rb in this PR selects the openblas-system Cargo feature on Linux, which links the distro OpenBLAS rather than building it from source. The shared rust-gem-release/build.yml@0.11.0 does not have a pre-compile packages step, so the reusable-workflow form fails with a link error (-lopenblas not found). Convert to an inline workflow that mirrors the shared workflow but adds an apt-get install step for libopenblas-dev + liblapack-dev + gfortran before rake compile.
The fallback path 'require "clusterkit/clusterkit"' in lib/clusterkit/clusterkit.rb resolves to this same .rb file (not the .bundle), creating a circular require that silently no-ops on the second call. On source/dev builds the native extension is never loaded, causing NoMethodError for all Rust-backed methods. Fix: use require_relative to directly load the flat .bundle/.so from the same directory, which is the correct path for source-build and native-darwin gems.
Without a generous ef parameter, HNSW graph traversal in a 4-item index does not guarantee visiting all nodes, causing the 'handles k larger than index size' test to return 3 instead of 4 non-deterministically (observed on Ruby 3.3, passes on Ruby 3.4 presumably due to PRNG differences).
