Summary

Adds an AGENTS.md documenting the gdm module's business logic for AI coding assistants, plus the standard AI-assistant plumbing. This is the AGENTS.md-only PR in the per-module rollout; rspec/acceptance hardening (if any) will follow as separate independent PRs.

Changes

  • AGENTS.md — hand-written analysis of the module: it installs, configures (/etc/gdm/custom.conf + dconf/banner), and runs the GNOME Display Manager (GDM), its classes/defines and control flow (including the two-pass gdm_version model), the config seam, gotchas, dependencies, repo layout, common commands, and conventions.
  • .gitignore — standard AI coding-assistant block (the standard is AGENTS.md; ignore tool-specific files like /CLAUDE.md, /.claude/, etc.).
  • .pdkignore — add /AGENTS.md so it is excluded from Forge/module builds.

Notes

  • No manifest, spec, or data changes — documentation + ignore rules only.
  • The CLAUDE.mdAGENTS.md symlink is intentionally left uncommitted (gitignored) so AGENTS.md stays canonical while tools that look for CLAUDE.md still resolve locally.

Add an AGENTS.md describing the gdm module's business logic for AI
coding assistants, along with the standard AI-assistant plumbing:

- AGENTS.md analysis of the module
- AI coding assistant .gitignore block (the standard is AGENTS.md;
  ignore tool-specific files like /CLAUDE.md, /.claude/, etc.)
- /AGENTS.md added to .pdkignore so it is excluded from Forge builds

Adds an AGENTS.md guide for AI coding assistants describing the simp-gdm module’s behavior and development workflow, plus ignore rules so tool-specific AI config files don’t get committed or packaged.

Changes:

  • Add AGENTS.md documenting module business logic, dependencies, and workflows.
  • Update .gitignore to ignore tool-specific AI assistant files/directories.
  • Update .pdkignore to prevent AGENTS.md from being included in PDK builds.

Line numbers drift as code changes and were flagged brittle in review; retain
durable anchors (file paths + class/define/type/function names) and remove the
now-redundant line-reference disclaimer where present.
