As it stands, the iPhone Duo begins its animations the moment the screen begins opening or closing. The Duo can also be used partially folded, and begins and ends its animation early to reflect so—and with that, a laptop screen is designed to be used at all different angles, so if I wanted to keep my screen more straighter, I would have to manually adjust the settings each time if I wanted to keep this open in the background without worrying about it.
My proposal is to have the program start once the lid starts closing instead of when it crosses a certain angle threshold—if it stays still after, the animation should "reverse" and set itself to the new angle that the screen is at rather than freezing. It should be an option for those who DO use it at one specific angle and don't mind.
For me, this fixes three problems:
- The animation having a delay if I have the display opened way past the start angle
- The need to adjust the settings every time I switch display angles
- The issue of setting the start angle to >130º no longer becoming an issue because as the display stays still, it ends the animation early.
