Agent-facing base tooling: one installable CLI that gives agents (and humans) deterministic commands for standard file conversions and common desktop operations — the things that should be base desktop features but are scattered across a hundred inconsistent tools.
Built for the Tebian desktop play (Tebian / maccel / Haven), where the operator is often an AI agent: agents need one coherent tool surface with stable flags and predictable output, not the sprawl of imagemagick, ffmpeg, and fifty format-specific utilities.
This repo began (2026-07) as a unified GUI multi-tool concept — replace
Calibre, Mp3tag, HandBrake, FreeFileSync with one modular app. That
concept was concluded not worth building: existing tools cover the GUI
scope (see IDEAS.md / PROGRESS.md for the original planning). The
reframe (2026-09): the real gap isn't another GUI — it's a unified,
agent-friendly CLI surface for an agent-first OS.
Concept. No code yet. Scope to be defined alongside Tebian's agent tooling needs.
