Summary

Add comprehensive API test suite for the market gateway API. 55 tests covering error codes, endpoints, headers, response formats, versioning, and configuration defaults.

Changes

• tests/test_api_suite.py (new file):
  • TestAPIErrorCodes (12 tests) — validates all 8 error codes (4001-5004) have correct HTTP status codes, unique codes, valid HTTP ranges
  • TestAPIEndpoints (5 tests) — validates /health, /api/v1/trades, /api/v1/depth, /ws endpoints are defined and properly formatted
  • TestAPIHeaders (6 tests) — validates X-Request-ID, X-Trace-ID, X-API-Version, X-RateLimit-* headers
  • TestAPIErrorResponseFormat (5 tests) — validates error response JSON has code, message, optional request_id, optional details
  • TestAPIVersioning (4 tests) — validates v1.0, v2.0, v3.0 version string format
  • TestGatewayConfigDefaults (7 tests) — validates default host, port, timeouts, rate limits, WS settings
  • TestTradesResponseFormat (7 tests) — validates trade response has id, instrument, price, quantity, side, timestamp, and total = price * quantity
  • TestDepthResponseFormat (7 tests) — validates depth response has bids/asks as price-quantity pairs, bids descending, asks ascending
  • TestHealthResponseFormat (4 tests) — validates health response has status, version, uptime_seconds, timestamp
