No AI. No Cloud. Always local. Always private.

Latest Build

An Open Source personal inventory management system.

Note

Despite being open source and public, inventar is still "just" a personal hobby project. It is not built with optimizations, speed or big data in mind.

It's time we own our own data again, and stop having our every move tracked by big tech.

This app has largely been inspired by the problem with companies, thinking that if they don't incorporate AI into their products, they will fail. It is almost impossible to not read the two letters "AI", when going on any site nowadays. I am, personally, tired of feeling like anything I do, is tracked, and used to both train AI, and for companies to try, and force "personalized" ads down my throat.

I wanted a place where I could store, and keep track of all sorts of components, nuts and bolts, 3d filament, etc. Anything and everything I use in my hobby projects, and more.

An app, full of features, that's not just another monthly subscription.

This project is still completely new, and I have so many features planned for it! If you're interested, then stick around.

Development status

Time to publish some more images. Below are 4 images of inventar's current state. inventar is still heavily WIP, so nothing is permanent yet, but it's getting there.
The color scheme has changed slightly, moving towards are more blue/purple-ish black. It gives inventar a more luxurious feel, and makes it less bland and boring to navigate through, even in its current state, with the lack of colors.

Designing inventar has taken a lot of time so far. It's a real challenge, trying to find a perfect balance between minimalism and a good UI/UX experience. I want the entire application to feel as natural to use as possible.

inventar-login-screen Above is the first public photo of inventar. There's not a lot to see, but I've wanted to start getting some pictures out. I'm spending all of my free time working on inventar, and I can't wait to have the first release out.

I'll try my best to keep this page up-to-date, with any news and updates.
