I can't seem to get the checks to run in CI, but I checked them locally and it LGTM. Sorry for the delay.

@alexandrecfonceca: can you try pushing again to try to get the workflows to retrigger? Apologies.

Note: this replaces PR thunderbird#198 which had the same content but the fork was accidentally deleted.

Thanks for this PR @alexandrecfonceca! Maybe a long shot, but are you involved with seguromail.com.br, or do you have an existing relationship with them? We typically prefer that ISPs host their own autoconfig files for a range of reasons (documented here), so I'd like to make sure that route has already been attempted before we merge this.

Yes, I am the owner and administrator of seguromail.com.br. It is a Brazilian email hosting provider (Specialist Linux Solutions). I have already configured the autoconfig endpoint at https://auto.seguromail.com.br/mail/config-v1.1.xml and the autodiscover endpoint at https://auto.seguromail.com.br/autodiscover/autodiscover.xml. The ISPDB submission is intended as an additional fallback, particularly for Thunderbird users whose domains are hosted on our platform.

Great, thanks for the information!

Considering this, I don't think there's a need for an ISPDB entry. If your concern is customers using custom domains but not having their own autoconfig. domain, Thunderbird performs additional lookups using the value of MX records as explained on this page - see this recent conversation with more practical examples: #199 (comment).

If you require additional help with this, or if your concern is something else, please let us know, we're more than happy to help! I'll close this PR for now because I'm not convinced there's a need for it, but I'm happy to keep the conversation going in here 🙂
