a pretty fast linux file explorer with all the features you can ask for (maybe it still lacks some but i'm too lazy to implement them at the time)
you can use a whole path in the folder creation process
for example,
you input hey/michael/vsauce/here, then the folder hierarchy will become:
📍 youarehere > 📁 hey > 📁 vsauce > 📁 michael > 📁 here
pretty cool, right?
it's basically a mini window manager... yeah!
with resizing, closing, opening more, etc..
pane moving soon! i still haven't quite figured out how to do that at the moment...
clone the repo via git clone https://github.com/tsukiiru/buoyant
build with cargo build --release
the built binary will be in target/release/
aur release soon
as for nix flake, maybe it works, idk i haven't tested
add it into your flake overlays
# flake.nix
{
inputs = {
buoyant.url = "github:tsukiiru/buoyant";
};
outputs =
inputs@{
self,
nixpkgs,
buoyant,
...
}:
{
nixosConfigurations = {
flake = nixpkgs.lib.nixosSystem {
modules = [
./configuration.nix
{
nixpkgs.overlays = [ buoyant.overlays.default ];
}
];
};
};
};
}then add it into system packages...
# configuration.nix
environment.systemPackages = with pkgs; [
buoyant
];buoyant uses toml as the configuration language, more about toml here
the config file is located in $HOME/.config/buoyant/buoyant.toml

feel free to open prs or issues, the more the merrier :3
buoyant does not handle file-opening, it's handled with xdg-open, make sure it's installed in PATH on your system.
about changing xdg-open behaviour (more specifically changing default app), consider reading my gist.
