…n Linux WebKitWebProcess aborts with "Could not create default EGL display: EGL_BAD_PARAMETER. Aborting..." because linuxdeploy bundles libwayland-client.so.0, which shadows the host library and breaks the host Mesa/EGL stack glvnd loads. Strip it from the AppImage after bundling on Linux CI builds. See veloxbase#47; tracked upstream at tauri-apps/tauri#16062.

Fix AppImage webview crash: stop bundling
libwayland-client.so.0Closes #47. The AppImage bundled WebKit's
libwayland-client.so.0(shipped by tauri-bundler's linuxdeploy). It shadows the host library, so when glvnd loads the host Mesa stack,libEGL_mesacan't resolve the interface it needs andeglGetPlatformDisplayreturnsEGL_BAD_PARAMETER. WebKitWebProcess then aborts:This broke the AppImage on Fedora/GNOME (from #47) and reproduced identically on Arch/Hyprland, both direct launch and via the
org.freedesktop.FileManager1D-Bus activation.Fix: after
tauri build, unpack the AppImage in CI, dropusr/lib/libwayland-client.so.0, and repack. Verified A/B locally: removing just that one library turns an instant abort into a working webview. The.debis unaffected — it links host libraries.Tauri tracks this upstream in tauri-apps/tauri#16062 (update linuxdeploy); this step can be dropped once that ships in tauri-bundler.
Verification performed on an affected machine (Arch + Hyprland, Intel Ivy Bridge):
WebKitWebProcessstays alive, no EGL error.EGL_BAD_PARAMETERabort.
