Summary

Version bump 0.5.0 → 0.6.0. First release shipping the quality gate: prview gate subcommand with the 0/1/2/3 exit-code contract, the composite GitHub Action, the measured pre-push profile, plus the full 2026-07-07 polish round (signal-truth #14 + contract-packaging #15 — all 15 confirmed audit findings and 14 review threads).

This closes the gap where v0.5.0 predates the gate entirely: after tagging v0.6.0, external consumers get a working gate from a released artifact for the first time.

  • CHANGELOG.md generated from conventional commits since v0.5.0
  • make release-gate: 12 pass / 0 fail / 1 warn (tag not created yet — expected pre-merge)

After merge (operator flow)

make release-tagmake release-push (tag triggers release.yml: builds + GitHub Release + OIDC publish to crates.io).

Code Review

This pull request bumps the project version from 0.5.0 to 0.6.0. The changes include updating the version number in Cargo.toml and Cargo.lock, and adding the release notes for version 0.6.0 to CHANGELOG.md. There are no review comments, and I have no additional feedback to provide.

Important
