Installation with pyproject.toml?

Not so much of an issue but a feature request - it would be really nice to have HEEPS installable, simply with pip install -e . Are there any plans for this?

indeed - that something also requested by other users, and on the to do list. I will try and work on that in the coming weeks.

One hindrance is that HEEPS depends on PROPER which is not on PyPI. So the plan is to create a proper wheel and host it on our side, and to provide the url. See also here, if you want to know more: https://github.com/astronomyk/HEEPS/blob/fix/fstring-quoting-update-config/docs/building_wheels.md.
