- This node is not optimized beyond the selection of the RAK node. I selected the antenna based on recommendations on Meshtastic's website. A better antenna may be available.
- The battery chosen had a 2.54mm pitch connector. I had to crimp on a 2.0mm pitch connector for the RAK battery connection.
- This node does not have GPS or wi-fi capabilities. I may investigate adding wi-fi later.
- The box is way big for this project. I didn't mind since it gave me more room to work in. The manufacturer has various size boxes.
- I did not use the included LoRA antenna with the RAK node. I did use the BLE antenna included with the RAK.

- Dremel rotary tool with a cutting wheel - I used this to cut the panel inside the enclosure into a 1/4 size so I could center-mount it in the box making it easier to get to the screws.

Make sure that you do not allow the bare ends on the battery wires to touch.
- IRONANT Step Drill Bits, 5PCS HSS Titanium Step Drill Bit Set, 50 Sizes High Speed Steel Step Bits for Metal with Aluminum Case - I used this to cut the antenna hole. I used a 7/8" hole, which was a tad wiggly. I'd reccommend 5/8" first, and going slowly from there.
- GE Advanced Silicone Caulk for Window & Door, Clear, 2.8 fl oz Tube, 1 Pack - 100% Waterproof Silicone Sealant, 5X Stronger Adhesion, Freeze & Sun Proof - I used caulk around the antenna connector for additional weatherproofing beyond the small gasket on the antenna connector.
