I am using an Intel AX210 WiFi chip with PicoScenes for CSI extraction and have noticed a consistent artifact that appears in every single CSI capture without exception.
Setup:
Transmitter: USRP X310 transmitting 802.11a 20 MHz packets
Receiver: Intel AX210 via PicoScenes
Channel: Coaxial cable direct connection
Single path, controlled environment
Observed Issue:
The first image shows the CSI phase extracted by the AX210 via PicoScenes. A clear non-linear distortion is visible across the subcarriers, appearing consistently in every capture regardless of signal strength or timing.
The second image shows the CSI extracted by the USRP itself from the same transmitted signal, shown here as a reference.
Could anyone advise what this artifact might be and what could be causing it?
