I'm hitting the QCA9300 / IWL5300 RX failure already reported in #37, #66, #67 and #72:
on reception every frame fails with
RxSBasicSegment cannot parse the segment with version v256.. Error skipped
TX (injection) works fine on the same NICs, and AX210 works in both TX and RX.
The likely cause (well analyzed in #72) is a version skew: the only available
driver build is picoscenes-driver-modules-6.5.0-15-generic = 20240210
(Feb 2024), while the current platform picoscenes-platform = 2025.1217.1547
(Dec 2025) ships an updated RxSBasic parser that no longer matches the format
written by the older ath9k/iwl driver.
My environment
- Ubuntu 22.04.5 LTS, kernel 6.5.0-15-generic
- picoscenes-platform: 2025.1217.1547
- picoscenes-driver-modules-6.5.0-15-generic: 20240210
- NICs: QCA9300 (AR9380, 168c:0030) and Intel AX210 (8086:2725)

The apt pool only keeps the current version, so I can't downgrade. Could you
please either:
- provide an older
picoscenes-platform .deb (a 2024-era build whose
RxSBasic parser matches the 20240210 driver), or
- publish a rebuilt driver that emits the segment format expected by the
current platform parser,
so that QCA9300 / IWL5300 CSI reception works again? If the 60-day build
expiration is a problem, a non-expired build would also be very helpful.
My request to the community
If any other user still has an older picoscenes-platform .deb cached locally
from 2024 that worked with QCA9300/IWL5300 RX, could you please share it with
me? Thank you very much!
