Overview

This PR introduces major stability fixes, UI improvements, and new features to the Social Shopping Agent extension. It enhances the overall user experience by making agent actions more transparent, reducing loops, and ensuring smoother interaction during shopping tasks.

Key Features & Enhancements

• Approval flow for sensitive actions – Agent now asks for user confirmation before executing sensitive tasks.

• Signin handling – Agent now pauses tasks if sign-in is required and credentials are not available, instead of looping.

• UI improvements:

  • Added popup on the active tab where the agent is performing actions.
  • New visual indicators via content.js to show what the AI is currently doing in real time.
  • Simplified extension flow by removing confusing options (General Chat, General Browser, Shopping Agent) → streamlined into a more intuitive design.

• First-time user experience – Instead of showing a non-interactive chat page, users are now prompted to log in first.

• Added How To Use Page where user can see and understand how to use the exension.

Bug Fixes

• Fixed task completion failures – The agent can now complete multi-step shopping tasks without getting stuck.
• Resolved looping issue – Prevents the agent from endlessly reopening/closing pages when encountering sign-in screens or checkout flows.
• Fixed Amazon login flow – Agent no longer auto-closes the sign-in tab; it pauses and allows the user to complete login.
• Fixed issue where the agent added random products instead of the requested item.
• Optimized token usage to prevent excessive consumption during tasks.
• Improved stability when handling product searches (e.g., Realme phone, slippers, standing desk).
• Improved UI responsiveness and clarity, making the extension more user-friendly.
• Added clear status/error indicators so users know if the task has stopped, failed, or requires manual action.

These fixes and enhancements make the Shopping Agent significantly more reliable, intuitive, and visually clear. Users can now trust that:
