This was written agentically; verify its assertions and edit accordingly:

Closing — this bump is the specific drift issue #126 was filed to stop.

@types/node 26.1.2 would put the typings two majors ahead of the runtime. tsc would then validate an API surface Node does not have at execution, and a typecheck catches shape errors, not behavioral drift. Node 26 is also pre-LTS until 2026-10-28.

Not a Dependabot fault: it has no equivalent of Renovate's constraintsFiltering, so it cannot see engines.node at all. #127 adds an explicit @types/node major ignore for exactly this reason, and pins @types/node to ^24.13.3 to track the Node 24 LTS runtime. Once #127 is on main, this class of PR stops being generated.
