X-Agent MCP Hackathon submission

Capability and review evidence

Life Exchange Rate translates structured macroeconomic changes into personal travel purchasing power, interest/fuel scenarios, work hours and user-defined everyday units. Its nine MCP tools expose source observations, ranking, deterministic calculations and scenario comparisons. Headlines trigger attention; only numeric observations or explicitly labeled scenarios drive arithmetic. Income, prices, budgets and pass-through assumptions are supplied inputs or declared demonstration defaults.

The submission includes the runnable source, dependency lock, configuration example, tests, API contracts, source/deployment evidence, provider and dependency notices, and repeatable verification instructions.

  • Local project tests: 148 passed.
  • Hosted MCP, 2026-09-16: current protocol 2026-07-28 and legacy protocol 2025-11-25 each discovered all 9 tools, passed 12 positive calls and rejected 7 invalid-input cases. The saved run covers live ECB-filtered FX and official Fed RSS.
  • End-to-end example: observed 2026-09-08 to 2026-09-15 FX rates of 16.0689 to 15.8648 JPY/SEK were ranked and translated using an explicitly synthetic 20,000 SEK travel profile: 257.30 SEK / 1.29 work hours to restore the earlier JPY purchasing power. The separately fetched headline is not claimed to have caused the move.
  • Hosted REST: the fixed synthetic travel example returned HTTP 200 and 1,739.13 SEK / 8.70 work hours; invalid input returned HTTP 422. Health and proof remained bound to the review commit before and after the calls.
  • Official validator, 2026-09-17: both offline and --online submission validation passed with the unchanged official validator and normal TLS verification. Exact commands, timestamps and outputs are recorded in verification/official-validation.json; this is submitter-run preflight evidence, not an official review decision.

See SUBMISSION.md and verification/README.md for setup, reproduction commands and the complete evidence index.

Known limits and data handling

Hosted policy-rate and energy tool checks used labeled synthetic fixtures. No live EIA validation is claimed, and no EIA API key is configured. Policy/energy live_or_fixture can explicitly label a fallback; strict live mode returns an error when observations are unavailable. Household inputs in the evidence are synthetic. Reference FX rates exclude retail fees and spreads; interest/fuel pass-through is a scenario, not a forecast. The service does not trade or execute payments.

The public demonstration requires no reviewer credential and uses Vercel Hobby, subject to quotas, cold starts and upstream availability. The application has no database or application-level profile persistence; hosting-layer processing and retention remain subject to Vercel settings. First-party materials have the program-specific submission/archive authorization in RIGHTS.md; no general-purpose open-source license is asserted, and third-party terms remain applicable.

Submitter confirmation

  • This PR changes one submission directory only.
  • source/ contains the complete review source and no secrets or private data.
  • RIGHTS.md identifies the submitter, third-party licenses, and archive authorization.
  • The public health check reports the exact review commit.
  • /.well-known/xagent-verification.json reports the same slug and commit.
  • I have the right to submit this code, service, dependencies, and data for review.
  • I understand that passing X-Agent review does not promise OKX acceptance, listing, traffic, or revenue.
  • I understand that closing an unmerged PR withdraws the entry, and that accepted/rewarded source remains in X-Agent's official archive.

Reviewer notes

  • Automated hard gates: pending official PR workflow/reviewer verification.
  • Manual scorecard: pending reviewers.
  • Decision: pending reviewers (pass / conditional pass / not accepted).

Submission received — #64

Thank you for submitting to the current X-Agent MCP Hackathon. We have received your pull request.

This is a receipt only. It does not confirm eligibility, completeness, technical approval, a judging result, or an award. Passing automated checks or merging code for archival purposes does not, by itself, mean the entry has passed review or won a prize.

Please include the complete source for the submitted capability in this repository under submissions/mcp-hackathon/<slug>/source/, with dependency files, configuration examples, and reproducible setup/build instructions. An external repository link alone is not sufficient. The official copy is intended to remain available if the original repository later becomes unavailable. Do not include secrets, credentials, or private user data; clearly disclose external and private-service dependencies.

The automated checks report technical checks separately. A workflow failure is not a judging decision. Keep updates in this PR while submissions remain open, and keep the documented source version and deployment evidence consistent.

See the submission instructions. Final review results and awards will be announced separately through the official event channels.
