Error in compiling custom operations

Hi, thanks for your work.

I followed your installation procedure, including the optional step to compile the custom operations, inside a virtual environment.

Unfortunately, I get several errors, among which the absence torch, even if it is correctly installed and spotted by pip show torch.

I am using the suggested command:

cd ./RDD/models/ops
pip install -e .

Do you have any suggestions to properly compile the custom operations?

Hi thanks for your interest. By reading the error message, it seems that you are trying to build inside a virtual environment instead of a conda environment. I think in this case, pip uses a temporary isolated environment to build it. Can you try
pip install -e . --no-build-isolation?

Yes I tried with pip install -e . --no-build-isolation but I hit the same error

I tried building it inside a Python virtual environment but didn’t encounter the error. Could you first verify whether you can run RDD without compiling the custom operations?
