Agent and MCP: block by block, with editable HTML blocks

Models were putting whole images into one HTML block and declaring no variables, so nothing could be adjusted from the panel. The design guide (shared by the Agent prompt, the MCP instructions and get_design_guide) now covers:

  • Block by block. The background comes from set_canvas_background, every headline and paragraph is a text block, and there is one add_block per piece, from the back to the front. The workflow gains a planning step: list each block with its type and box before building.
  • What each block is for. Text, code, mockups, image and icon, shape, drawing, QR, HTML and library components.
  • Layout. Proven layouts (stack, split, centered hero, grid of cards) and an example plan for 1080×1350.
  • The HTML block contract.
    • One component, sized to its content, with short labels only.
    • A :root block of annotated variables for colors, sizes, radius, shadow, icon and show/hide flags.
    • Booleans are read with @container style(--flag: false), with no JavaScript.
    • A worked stat tile example.
  • Checklist. It now checks both rules.

add_block and update_html_block now answer with hints when an HTML block declares no variables, covers more than 45% of the canvas, or holds more than 40 words of text, so the model fixes it in the same turn (src/lib/agent/tools/html-hints.ts). The descriptions of the tools and of the HTML block type say the same.

I checked the guide's example in the app: the panel shows 8 controls, the icon renders, --show-icon: false hides it, and it produces no hints.

Fix: Linux release

The release failed at the snap: electron-builder also uploads it to the Snap Store through snapcraft push, which snapcraft renamed to upload (exit status 64). The workflow has no Snap Store credentials either. snap.publish now only lists GitHub, so the .snap is uploaded to the release like the AppImage, deb, rpm and pacman packages.

Checks

  • tsc: passes
  • eslint: 0 errors
  • Tests: 351 pass, including new tests for the hints and for how the tools return them

The Linux release failed: electron-builder publishes a snap to the Snap
Store as well as to GitHub, through snapcraft's 'push' command, which
snapcraft renamed to 'upload' (exit status 64). The workflow has no Snap
Store credentials either. The snap now goes to the GitHub release like
the AppImage, deb, rpm and pacman packages.

Models put whole images in one HTML block and declared no variables, so
nothing could be adjusted from the panel. The design guide (Agent prompt,
MCP instructions and get_design_guide) now:

- asks to build block by block: background with set_canvas_background,
every headline and paragraph as a text block, one add_block per piece
- says what each block type is for, with proven layouts and an example
  plan for 1080x1350
- sets a contract for HTML blocks: one component sized to its content,
short labels only, and a :root block of annotated variables for colors,
sizes, radius, shadow, icon and show/hide flags (booleans read with a
container style query), with a worked stat tile example
- adds those rules to the workflow and the final checklist

add_block and update_html_block now answer with hints when an HTML block
declares no variables, covers most of the canvas or holds paragraphs of
text, so the model fixes it in the same turn. The add_block, HTML block and
update_html_block descriptions say the same.
