What is wrong?
brand-book.tex downloads logo.svg with wget --no-clobber. Once a local copy exists, subsequent builds silently keep using that old file even when the Zerocracy logo at the source URL has changed. The generated PDF can therefore remain visually outdated after a normal make rebuild.
Where?
brand-book.tex:13
Reproduction
- Build the project once so
logo.svg is present.
- Replace the remote
https://www.zerocracy.com/svg/logo.svg with a newer logo (or change the local file to simulate that update).
- Run
make again.
wget reports that the existing file is kept, and LaTeX embeds the stale logo in brand-book.pdf.
Expected behavior
A rebuild should use the current logo, or the project should pin and intentionally version the asset so its staleness is explicit.
Suggested fix
Remove --no-clobber (download to a temporary file and replace atomically), or add an explicit asset version/checksum and make the PDF depend on that versioned file.
