An explicit hidden factbase such as .stats.fb produced hidden staged filenames. The publish loop uses a Bash glob that omits dotfiles, so the action succeeded and then removed the generated pages during cleanup.
The output basename now strips leading dots after removing the extension and falls back to factbase if no name remains. This keeps staged page files visible to the publishing loop.
Checks: Bash syntax validation and filename cases for .stats.fb, .fb, and an ordinary factbase name.
