Description
What is wrong?
pitch.cls downloads logo.svg with wget --no-clobber. After the first build, later builds never refresh the local logo, even if the logo at the source URL has changed. Rebuilding a sales deck can therefore silently produce a PDF with an obsolete logo.
Where?
pitch.cls:23
Reproduction
- Build the deck once so
logo.svgexists. - Change the logo served at
https://www.zerocracy.com/svg/logo.svg(or replace the local file to simulate a newer remote asset). - Run
makeagain. wgetkeeps the existing file and LaTeX embeds the old logo insales-deck.pdfandfounder-pitch.pdf.
Expected behavior
A normal rebuild should refresh the downloaded logo, or the asset should be deliberately pinned and versioned.
Suggested fix
Remove --no-clobber and replace the asset after a successful download, or use a versioned/checksummed asset and include it as an explicit Make dependency.
