What changed
Pillow==12.2.0→Pillow==12.3.0-r requirements.txtplus pyinstaller/reportlab, so it inherits the bump. Dependabot flags it as a second manifest, but both sets of alerts resolve from this one pin change. No lockfile in this repo (plain pip requirements only).
Alerts cleared (26 open = 13 advisories × 2 manifests)
All fixed in Pillow 12.3.0:
All vulnerable ranges are
< 12.3.0(some with lower bounds);first_patched_versionis 12.3.0 for every advisory, and 12.3.0 is the current latest release on PyPI.Compatibility
Patch-level bump within the same major (12.2.0 → 12.3.0) — no breaking API changes. Code audit: the only PIL usage is
from PIL import Image, ImageTkandImageTk.PhotoImage(file=...)inapp.py; no removed constants (Image.ANTIALIASetc.) anywhere.pip install --dry-run -r requirements.txtresolves cleanly on Python 3.11.Note: Dependabot's own PR #1 (branch
dependabot/pip/pillow-12.3.0) proposes the same bump; merging this PR supersedes it and it can be closed.https://claude.ai/code/session_01L9MDAmC4eHwaetZXKzmg7n
