Comment symbol is too small

Feedback from a Dyalog APL user (me):
The comment symbol in APL387 is too small. You can easily see the size difference below.

The reduction in the size of the "lamp" symbol is, ahem, reducing the illumination of my comments.

The question is how to keep ⍝ consistent with both ∩ and ⊂ and ∘, while preserving centre alignment of ∩ and ∪. APL387 already elevates ⍝'s ∘ part. Maybe we should forgo the symmetry for clarity, i.e. move the round part of ⍝ slightly up and extend its legs further down?

∪ and ∩ look long enough vertically in APL387 because they don't have the ∘ symbol "interfering" visually with the legs, whereas with ⍝ that "interference" makes the legs look too short. It make the comment symbol look like a ∘ with two tiny protrusions at the bottom (which it is). So I agree with your idea of moving the round part (along with the ∘ , of course) slightly up and the legs further down. Personally, I don't see why the ∘ within ⍝ has to match the size of the ∘ symbol by itself -- it's a different symbol, after all -- but I could certainly live with them matching if the symbol was extended vertically a little. Thanks, and otherwise I'm happy with the new APL387 font.

OK, so here's a new idea: lower the ∘ part of ⍝ to align centrally with ∘ and then extend the legs all the way down to the baseline, just as in APL385, as it essentially belongs with text which also stands on the baseline, the "Low" option here:

What I described in my previous comment ("move the round part of ⍝ slightly up and extend its legs further down") is the "Long" option in the image.

What do you think, @ItzRav and @RubenVerg?

I think I like the "Low" idea, since as you say ⍝ belongs with text, as long as the legs get longer enough so that they actually look like legs. Can you easily make a test font with that one change so we can see how it looks with actual code?

I think I prefer "Low" too, but I cannot easily make a test font or render. @RubenVerg can.

Yes, me too, but the ∘ in ⍝ already isn't aligned with the stand-alone ∘, though it is aligned with ∩:

What I'm suggesting is to let go of the alignment with ∩ and instead gain alignment with ∘, while also reaching the baseline for esthetics:
