- CurseForge client: search for "Wick's Quest Key".
-
Manual: download the latest ZIP from CurseForge or GitHub Releases, extract the
WicksQuestKeyfolder intoWorld of Warcraft\_classic_\Interface\AddOns\.
- Log in to a character that has a quest with a special item (the kind Blizzard normally surfaces in the auto-quest-item area).
- The Quest Key button appears on screen with the item icon.
- If you don't see it, type
/wqkto print which items are loaded.
Esc to Key Bindings to AddOns to Wick's Quest Key:
- Use current quest item: the main bind. Press to fire whatever item is currently armed.
The bound key is rendered on the button itself, so you always see what's wired to it.
If you have more than one quest item available, every press fires the current item. Right-click the button to advance to the next quest item without using the current one. The icon updates so you always know what's armed.
/wqk unlock
Then drag it where you want it. Lock it back into place with /wqk lock. Position is saved per character. If you ever lose it off-screen: /wqk reset.
The button auto-hides when you have no quest items in your log. As soon as you pick up a quest with a usable item, it reappears.
