A month after the soft deprecation notice was released, there has been no discussion on the linked GitHub Issue. For this and other reasons, it very much seems that nobody is using these features. Transition here from a "soft" to a "hard" deprecation, changing the notice to say that this featureset will be removed.

No findings. This PR only updates user-facing warning text and changelog; no behavior changes, security impact, or tests required. Residual risk: none beyond ensuring the warning still appears under the same conditions. If you want me to sanity-check the warning is exercised in existing tests or add one, point me to the relevant test suite. |

For this and other reasons, it very much seems that nobody is using these features.
Transition here from a "soft" to a "hard" deprecation, changing the notice to say that this featureset will be removed.
