A user with a 5.1 / 7.1 speaker setup would like independent volume control for each channel:
- front left
- front right
- center
- subwoofer
- rear left
- rear right
- side left
- side right
Windows has its own per-channel balance dialog, but in the user's experience those values get reset over time, so every channel has to be re-entered by hand. Having the levels set and held inside Volume² would avoid that.
Volume² currently exposes L/R balance only, so multi-channel layouts cannot be trimmed from the program.
