A user building a hardware controller with physical knobs would like several audio inputs/outputs controlled at the same time, each with its own OSD visible on the desktop, instead of switching between the default and the alternate device.
What was already suggested
- Running a second instance of Volume² was ruled out: only one process can hook the mouse scroll, so two copies cannot both work.
- Per-device hotkeys (default device + alternate device) were suggested as the workaround. The user is aware of these, but they do not give what is wanted: an independent OSD per device, shown at the same time.
Request
Allow more than one device to be controlled concurrently within the single instance, with a separate OSD per device (position, skin and visibility configurable per device).
