Getting Started

The world of Eroded World is unforgiving. Your first few minutes are crucial for your long-term survival.

The Spawn (Safe Zone)

The area around the world spawn is protected by Spawn Sovereignty.

  • Sanctuary: Hostile mobs cannot spawn here and are physically repelled from entering.
  • Protection: You are safe from environmental damage and player-induced griefing within this radius.
  • Preparation: Use this time to gather basic materials (wood, seeds) and craft your first set of tools.

Beyond the Border (The Wilderness)

Once you step outside the protected spawn radius, the mod's core systems activate:

  • Environmental Reaction: The world starts tracking your activity. Every block you mine and every furnace you light contributes to the local Threat Level.
  • The Darkness: Unlike vanilla Minecraft, darkness here is absolute. If you are caught outside or underground without a light source, you will be completely blind.
  • Energy Management: Your movements (sprinting and dodging) will now consume energy. Watch the HUD carefully—getting exhausted in the wilderness is often a death sentence.

Survival Tips for Beginners

  1. Light is Life: Never, under any circumstances, leave spawn without torches or a lantern.
  2. Watch the Ground: If you see grass turning into dirt or podzol, the area is heavily Eroded. Expect stronger, mutated monsters and a higher risk of cave-ins.
  3. Mine with Caution: Don't just strip-mine. If you hear the ground creaking, STOP and place support beams (Logs).
  4. Energy First: Before engaging in combat, ensure your energy bar is full. You cannot dodge or sprint away if you are exhausted.
  5. Quality over Quantity: A "Poor" quality sword deals less damage and breaks faster. Try to craft your main gear only when you are well-rested (High Energy).

"Step carefully, for the earth remembers your greed."
