sdp-si sells some of the drive hardware used in FirePick. FirePick uses GT2 2MR (2mm pitch), 6mm wide timing belts for driving the X- and Y-axes. GT2 belts are accurate over long travel distances and have minimal backlash.
Sdp-si also sells Synchromesh, but GT2 is cheaper overall and perhaps more stable over extended use. For cable drives, FirePick uses Kevlar fishing line since it shares the alignment flexibility of Synchromesh and is a cheaper, sound alternative.
