Do not rely on EasyVersionBackup as your only backup solution.

Requirements

• Windows x64
• .NET 8 Desktop Runtime

Install

1. Download the latest release.
2. Extract the ZIP file into a writable directory.
3. Keep all included files and folders together.
4. Start EasyVersionBackup.exe.
5. Read and accept the initial data-loss warning before continuing.

Settings File

Settings are stored only here:

<application directory>\Settings\EasyVersionBackup.settings.json

The application does not intentionally load settings from another location.

Keep the complete Settings folder when updating or moving the application.

Update

1. Close EasyVersionBackup.
2. Back up the complete application directory.
3. Replace the application files with the new release.
4. Keep the existing Settings folder.
5. Start the application and review all settings before running a backup.

Important

After updating:

• Review all source and target paths.
• Review Retention and Source Cleanup settings.
• Run a test backup with non-critical data.
• Verify the created backup manually.
